Our 2% offering of non-designated giving for the month of November will go to Bethesda Mission. Bethesda Mission has been meeting the needs of hungry and homeless people in the Greater Harrisburg area since 1914. Bethesda Mission has asked our church to donate 300 cans of corn (15.25 oz.) for Thanksgiving “baskets” to be delivered to families in need in the Harrisburg Area. Please add corn to your shopping list and bring as many cans as possible by Wednesday, November 19th.

On Saturday, November 22nd at 3:00 p.m. we will have a “Family Movie Afternoon to watch the VeggieTales Movie “The Pirates Who Don’t Do Anything.” Drink and popcorn will be provided, but you can also bring your favorite snack to share.

Chambers Hill Fire Company is looking for teddy bears they can distribute to children in crisis situations. The teddy bears will help calm the children and the calmer children will help calm the adults. If you are willing to donate for this cause, please place the teddy bears in the box in the welcome area.

On Sunday, November 23rd the Tweeners have planned a skating party. After Sunday School we will have a Tweeners’ worship service in the Faith Seekers’ classroom. That will be followed by a trip to McDonald’s and then to Doc’s Skating Rink in Middletown. We will bring you Tweeners back to the church by 4:00 p.m.

On Sunday, November 23rd, we will be celebrating Harvest Home. Each family is invited to bring a bag of non-perishable food and leave donations in the Welcome Area. Here are some items that are needed: vegetable cooking oil, mayo, mustard, sweet relish, canned fruit, applesauce, instant mashed potatoes, rice, Stove Top Stuffing, chicken broth, and macaroni and cheese. (Please make sure all food items have at least one year before they expire).

On Wednesday, November 19th, all day, Boy Scout Troop 202 is sponsoring a Community Night at Hoss’s Steak House in Hummelstown. There will be Scouts with coupons to pass out on Sunday after church. Thank you for your support!

On Friday, November 21st at 7:00 p.m., at Pinchot Park Assembly of God would like to invite our congregation to a night of dramas and human videos. RAD (RANDOM ACTS OF DRAMA) will perform ten powerful original dramas. Admission is free and no offering will be taken. Refreshments will be served during intermission. A new topical Bible study is beginning on Tuesday, November. 25th, 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. and will be meeting every other Tuesday. A sign up sheet is in the Welcome Area.

Join us on Sunday, November 30th for the Hanging of the Greens dinner and service. The dinner will be at 5:00 p.m. The main course is provided. If your last name begins with the letters A-L, please bring 1-2 cups of your favorite salad ingredient (lettuce will be provided). Letters M-Z please bring a dessert. The Hanging of the Greens service will be held immediately following the dinner at approximately 6:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary.

All families or individuals are invited to make a Christmas tree ornament for the tree in the Welcome Area. also, we are looking for four more families, who would like to make a wreath for the sanctuary. These wreaths would hang over the candle sconces on the walls. They can be made with a green wreath, pine cones, fabric, or anything else. Please contact the church office if you would like to provide a wreath or if you any questions.

The Senior Christmas Party, which formerly was held at Camp Seltzer, will be on Wednesday, December 3rd at Noon in the social hall at church. Everyone is asked to bring a covered dish to share and a wrapped $5.00 gift for exchange. For more information please call the church office. Everyone is invited!

The annual all-church Christmas party will be held on Saturday, December 13th at 5:30 p.m., everyone is invited to celebrate the Birth of our King. As in the past a special guest will appear later in the evening. Provide him with a gift for your child (labeled with his/her name). There are sign-up sheets in the Welcome Area and Sunday School classrooms.
